2025

Michael will be directing a production of Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Jurors for the BFA students at Boston University in the fall of 2025.

In the summer of 2025, Michael adapted and directed Measure for Measure for the Apprentice Repertory Company at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company at the Suffolk Modern Theatre.

In the early Summer of 2025, Michael was in the Acting Company of New York Stage and Film's Filmmaker's Workshop as part of their summer season in Poughkeepsie, NY.

In the early Summer of 2025, Michael attended his sixth Seven Devils New Play Conference, where he serves as a Board Member.

In the Spring of 2025, Michael played the character of So in Lisa Sanaye Dring's SUMO at the Public Theater in NYC, directed by Ralph B. Pena, a Co-Production with Ma-Yi Theater and the La Jolla Playhouse. See the feature on the show in the New York Times: Here. See the Playbill feature: Here.

In the Fall of 2024, Michael returned to his alma mater, Boston University, to teach multiple courses in the School of Theatre.

In the Summer of 2024, Michael served on the faculty of the Boston University Summer Theatre Institute.

In the early Summer of 2024, Michael's adaptation of Our Town for the City of Cambridge played at the Cambridge Riverfest, commissioned and produced by Central Square Theater.

In the late Spring of 2024, Michael played DHH in David Henry Hwang's Yellow Face at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

In the Spring of 2024, Michael workshopped Melinda Lopez's adaptation of Twelfth Night at the Huntington Theatre Company, co-commissioned by Play On! Shakespeare.

In the Fall of 2023, Michael was in the ensemble of the world premiere of Lisa Sanaye Dring's SUMO at the La Jolla Playhouse, a Co-Production with Ma-Yi Theater. 

In the Summer of 2023, Michael was in the acting company of the Huntington Theatre's Summer Play Workshops, developing work by Melinda Lopez and Masha Oblensky.

In the Spring of 2023, Michael directed The Great Leap by Lauren Yee at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

In the Winter of 2022, Michael played the character of Rei (formerly Belle) in Trinity Repertory Company's annual production of A Christmas Carol adapted and directed by Aileen Wen McGroddy.

In the Winter of 2022, Michael completed his Master of Fine Arts Degree from Brown University and Trinity Repertory Company.

Michael has finished his first year at Brown/Trinity Rep, where he performed in A View From the Bridge by Arthur Miller as Eddie Carbone, directed by Cat Tan, Directing '22, Jar of Fat by Seayoung Yim, directed by Tatyna Marie-Carlo, Directing '20 in Brown University's Writing is Live!, understudied Marley in Trinity Rep's production of A Christmas Carol, and worked alongside Julian Boal and Rites and Reasons Theatre engaging with Theatre of the Oppressed.

During the summer of 2020, Michael returned to the Seven Devils Playwrights' Conference, workshopping Noah Diaz's You Will Get Sick, and Matt Pelfrey's The Alligator Gospels. Read the feature in American Theatre here.


Michael lent his voice to The Ordinary Epic, which was recently a finalist for the BBC Award for Online Audio Drama and a nominee for The Audio Verse Awards!

The Ordinary Epic is a serialized fantasy tabletop audio drama about the real and imagined lives of five friends and the challenges they face together. Listen here.

In his final Boston production (for the time being!), Michael directed Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's King of Shadows for Flat Earth Theatre Company.
